Bio
Over the past hundred years Ed Clancy has been a broadcaster, writer, producer, columnist, satirist and performer. Hailing from Syracuse, New York, he finally landed in the great city of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Mr. Clancy hosted his own daily talk show on WWL-AM for five years, and has become infamous for his political satire, regarding local politics in southern Louisiana. In the mid 1970's he created the Ed Clancy Radio Cartoon, which later graduated to television (WVUE, WGNO) claiming critical acclaim and awards along the way.
In 1991 he began Ed Clancy’s Over The Wall Productions, which has produced TV shows, tourism/industrial/governmental videos and voice overs.
Ed hosted The Ed Clancy Show weekday mornings on WSMB 1350 AM in New Orleans from 2001 to 2003.
For 11 years he was the host of Kenner America's City, a weekly program seen on Cox Cable Channel 6, and later KTV Channel 76, co-produced by Cox and Ed’s OTW Productions. Ed later hosted Jefferson Journal seen on COX 6 every week and was a contributing columnist for the Kenner Star for 20 years.
Most recently Ed hosted The Ed Clancy Show weekdays on WGSO 990AM from 2007 to 2008. He is currently pursuing his own writing and ghostwriting for clients.
Ed is available for work in voice over, emcee and ghostwriting.
